  3. 4 tbsp baking soda
  4. Syrup:
  5. 300 g sugar
  6. 300 ml water

  1. Wash the oranges. Coat them with baking soda, then soak them for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, rinse the oranges then clean them.
  2. Cut the peel of each orange into 4 or 5 pieces so that it will be easier to cut off later. Peel the entire orange peel. Next, boil water, then add orange peels. Allow the orange peels to boil for about eight minutes then drain. Put them in cold water.
  3. Boil water, bring the orange peels to a boil then leave it for 10 minutes. After that, put them again in cold water. Remove the white pith from the peel with a knife, so that the orange peels won’t taste bitter.
  4. Drain the orange peels, then cut them vertically
  5. Boil sugar and water, stir until both of the ingredients mixed well. Add the orange peels and let it boil for a while as you stir. Reduce the heat, and cook for 45 minutes.
  6. Drain the peels in a colander. Put them on a baking sheet, make sure there are gaps between each peel, so they don’t stack. Heat them in 40 Celcius for 1 hour, or just let them in a room temperature for 24 hours. After they are all dried, coat them with sugar. Put the boiled water in a container. The syrup could be used for anything. For instance, mix the 3 tbsp of simple syrup with milk and ice cubes.
  7. Voila, It’s ready!
